Which Edition Should You Buy?
Short answer
There are four: Standard, Eclipse, Day 1 and Collector's. Every one of them includes the Sangoran Wayfarer's Armor Set as an early unlock, so no edition gives you a gameplay advantage another withholds. Eclipse adds digital extras — World Compendium, comic book and soundtrack. Day 1 adds physical ones — a Steelbook and a world map. Collector's adds both plus a 23cm Coen figurine and a 60-page hardcover compendium. If you only want to play the game, Standard is the whole game.
What each one contains
| Edition | What you get | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | The full game, plus the Sangoran Wayfarer's Armor Set as an early unlock | Physical and digital |
| Eclipse | Standard, plus the digital upgrade: World Compendium, comic book and soundtrack | Digital extras on top of the base game |
| Day 1 | Standard, plus a Steelbook and a world map | Physical |
| Collector's | Base game, Steelbook, a 33×40cm world map, a 23cm PureArts Coen figurine, a 60-page hardcover World Compendium, and the Eclipse digital upgrade | Physical |
How to actually decide
- You want to play the game and nothing else. Standard. It is the complete game, with the armour set.
- You liked the soundtrack in the trailers, or you read lore. Eclipse. The compendium and the soundtrack are the two extras with the most hours in them, and they are the ones that do not need shelf space.
- You buy physical and keep boxes. Day 1. A Steelbook and a map, no digital duplication.
- You want the figurine. Collector's, and go in knowing that is what you are buying — it is the only edition whose main draw is an object rather than content.
- You are undecided and launch is close. Buy Standard. Nothing in the higher tiers affects the run you are about to play, and the digital upgrade exists as a separate product.
