Time & the deadline
The 30-Day Time Limit Explained
Thirty days and thirty nights, a deadline that can pass, and a game that keeps going afterwards.

Short answer
Yes. Coen has thirty days and thirty nights before the deadline at the centre of the story. It is a soft deadline — the game continues past it, but Coen's family may suffer the consequences.
It is a budget, not a timer
Nothing counts down while you are standing still. The clock moves when you spend it. That distinction changes how you should play: the pressure is not to hurry, it is to choose.
Read how time works first if you have not — the rest of this page assumes it.
The deadline can pass
This is not a fail state that returns you to a menu. Rebel Wolves has been explicit that the game is designed to continue rather than break. Missing the deadline is an outcome, not a game over.
How to think about the budget
| Question | Better question |
|---|---|
| How much time is left? | Given my remaining goals, is my order feasible? |
| Is this quest worth doing? | Is this quest worth doing now, or does it still exist on day 22? |
| Should I train? | What expires while I am training? |
| Day or night? | Which phase makes this cheaper, and can I batch the others into the same phase? |
Schedule what you want to do and see where the budget breaks.
