Planning a run
Can You Do Everything in One Playthrough?
Almost certainly not — and the game is built on the assumption that you will not try.
OfficialQuest premise
Short answer
No public source promises a complete-everything run, and several design features actively work against one: a finite time budget, mutually exclusive choices, characters who can die, and content that expires if you are elsewhere.
Four separate walls
| Constraint | What it closes |
|---|---|
| The time budget | Anything you could not afford to schedule. |
| Mutually exclusive choices | The branch you did not take. |
| Character death | Everything routed through that person. |
| Expiry through inaction | Threads that resolved while you were somewhere else. |
Any one of those would make a completionist run difficult. Together they make it the wrong goal.
A better goal
Pick the outcomes you actually care about — a character kept alive, a relationship followed through, a confrontation entered on your terms — and plan a route that guarantees those. Let the rest be the version of the story your Coen got.
Set your objectives, schedule the actions, and find out where the budget actually breaks.
Plan around your goals →The path is still unwritten.
