Skip time to the next day for the Infamy Edict cutscene.
Take the message from Brencis offering a parley.
Save in a slot you will not overwrite — this is the last point before the endings.
Pick your line in the parley. Four of the seven endings are decided here and nowhere else.
Four endings branch from this conversation, and a retail endings guide is explicit that no other story choice decides which one you get. What the thirty days decide is which options are on the list.
There is no free roam after a chosen ending — the game returns to the title screen. Anything you meant to clean up has to be done before this resolves, which is why the save matters.
The quest name and trigger come from one retail walkthrough. Its no-free-roam warning is about the endings you choose: the same source's endings guide says the run does continue after the deadline passes, which is a cutscene rather than a stopping point. It is the retail counterpart of the structural Confront Brencis record, kept separate because that one is a developer statement about the design rather than a journal entry.
